It's spooky season in Alexandria, VA! Whether you're looking for a kid-friendly event or a place to enjoy some seasonal cocktails, here are some Halloween events that are not to be missed!
1) Waynewood Witches Ride - October 26, 5pm
A whimsical, fun 2-mile bike ridge through the streets of the Waynewood neighborhood benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Women dressed as witches ride through the streets and throw candy to children who gather to watch. The witches enjoy some spook-ily good cocktails, too! A fun evening with neighbors and friends to benefit a great cause.
2) Trick-or-Treating at Mount Vernon - October 26, 2-6pm

Go back in time at this annual Halloween celebration! Children collect candy from various stations around the historic grounds of George Washington's Mount Vernon. Enjoy a costume parade, puppet show, and other 18th century entertainment.
3) 28th Annual Del Ray Halloween Parade - October 27, 2pm

One of Del Ray's favorite traditions, this parade down Mount Vernon Avenue brings together neighbors -- and their pets too -- donning Halloween costumes! There are prizes in a variety of categories for both humans and animals. Participate in the scavenger hunt by finding Halloween-themed items in the businesses' decorated windows. You could win one of five $50 gift cards provided by Del Ray businesses!
4) Old Town Doggie Trick or Treat - October 27, 1-4pm

A howl-ing good time! Bring your four-legged friends to gather treats at Old Town businesses. Start at The Dog Park (705 King Street) to pick up your goodie bag and map!
5) Boos & Brews Halloween Weekend Bash - October 25, 9:30pm
Grab your costume and get ready for a scary good time at Alexandria Bier Garden (710 King Street)! Enjoy ghoulishly delicious food from local vendors, eerie-ly awesome drinks, a costume contest, and an all-around awesome Halloween celebration with old friends and new!
